  Human Touch, The
'Tis the human touch in this world that counts,
The touch of your hand and mine,
Which means far more to the fainting heart
Than shelter and bread and wine;
For shelter is gone when the night is o'er,
And bread lasts only a day
But the touch of the hand and the sound of the voice
Sing on in the soul alway.

I was checking out the camp songs listings on the World Wide Web
and thought
I'd drop you a line about them. I've heard another verse to Human
Touch--but
it has a different tune than the first one:

May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sunshine warm upon your face
A rain fall softly on your fields
And until we meet again someday
May God hold you in the palm of his hand
May the memories that we have shared
Linger on and on

Campfire songbooks, CDs and so on. Scouting stuff also. From Amazon.

(Amazon also has 'Pre-Owned' books and stuff. Sometimes, they're a lot cheaper than new, and a great way to build a decent inexpensive reference library.)
